Really liked this restaurant. My father took me to this place when I visited him at Christmas 2023 and I would definitely recommend visiting this restaurant. Unfortunately, my father unexpectedly passed away in late February 2024, and although life still doesn't feel normal without him, I want to revisit this restaurant and then do some of the local walks, in memory of him.

You're paying for the location and views.
Expensive food for the quality you get. My partner had the signature burger, the bun was soggy in the sauce and the haggis was cheap. I had asked for no onions on my steak baguette, I think they gave me 2 onions plus the steak definitely was not steak. Very disappointed as we drove over an hour for a lunch here.

First time I have been here. Lovely setting and friendly staff. My only complaint, and it isn't really a complaint as such, was that I asked for a small portion and it was still very big. A lot of other customers would be delighted! Service was great, everyone helps.

Stopped in today after finishing work in Banchory a bit earlier than expected. I had the fanstastic Steak Loaded Fries and collegue had the Steak Pie. Even though it was fairly busy, only takes 15 mins or so for food to arrive and both dishes were top notch. Perfect portion sizes and you really need to try either of the three loaded fries dishes. Wil be back very soon!

The Clatterin Brig is a gem for lovers of traditional Scottish cuisine.
Their Cullen Skink soup was a hearty delight, paired perfectly with a warm bread roll. My iced latte hit the spot, especially in the summer heat.
The service was top-notch, with friendly waitresses who kept the atmosphere lively and welcoming. The ambiance was just right, with cool air conditioning, pleasant music, and lovely Scottish decor adding to the charm.
The toilet facilities were very clean, and the free Wi-Fi was a great bonus.
With plenty of parking, indoor and outdoor seating, and its close location to Cairn O Mount, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended for its friendly vibe and delicious food!

Misled by their advertising 'DOG FRIENDLY' although checked when booking that it was ok to take dog ....
Arrived to find NOT ALLOWED TO TAKE DOGS INSIDE!
Had to sit outside in hot sunshine and no brollies to give shade ... tough luck if its raining!
Really annoyed.....
Dog owners beware!

On a cycle tour and this is the place to go for cake. Not very busy when I was in. Staff friendly even though there was a crisis in the kitchen.

Now under new management. Food good, staff friendly. Still haven't made it there for lunch hours which don't start until midday. The hours posted on Google maps is incorrect. Breakfast menu only from 10 - 12.

The view from this place is brilliant, hidden away in a little valley up on a small hill. The food is not very varied and some items were not available but from the ones chosen, taste was quite good. Went for the cullen skunk soup and hunters chicken complimented by a tropical smoothie. Atmosphere was really great, sat outside due to us having a dog with brilliant views of nature. Recommend this along with a drive towards banchory for some thrilling views.
